Each participant will enjoy nightly parties featuring a variety of fine foods, live musicians, and live raffles, as well as world-class fishing action with high-flying sailfish. Among the many cash prizes up for grabs will also be exotic trips and top-quality fishing gear. Most importantly, anglers will have the chance to rub elbows with some of football’s most notable players, coaches and owners, who will be making the most of their time in South Florida for the Super Bowl, which will both take place in Miami, just an hour away.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Gridiron Greats, a charitable organization heralded by NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka. The organization assists retired football players in dire need of help with medical costs and other necessities.

The event will take place at Jimmy Johnson’s Fisherman’s Cove, an exclusive private residence club in Key Largo, and home of the Big Chill resort and restaurant — the “hottest” place to cool off in the Keys. The Big Chill features outdoor dining with excellent sunset views, a resort pool complete with cabanas, two lively tiki bars, a full-service restaurant and a sports bar loaded with 30 high-def televisions.
